“My experience as part of this team so far has been phenomenal,” said eighth-grader Elena Latterell.

BSM has been especially good in its 10 matches played on Saturdays at the Midwest Volleyball Warehouse in Burnsville, winning seven of those contests. The Red Knights won their last four matches there.

Probably the two most impressive wins this season were against Farmington and Orono. BSM was behind in both matches but rallied to earn hard-fought victories both nights.

“Those two matches were a lot of fun for me and the girls. We played really well when it mattered the most,” said Coach Adrian Wagner. “It took a little time for the girls to figure out our offense and where they needed to be on the floor during serve receive and in our base defense, but we seem to have things figured out pretty well right now.”

Members of the team were Sophie Melsness, Alex Boisclair, Elena Latterell, Emma Proulx, Anna Busch, Lauren Alinder, Shelby Scott, and Kylie Wagner.

The season concluded for the Red Knights with the SSYO Tournament. BSM won its first game in the tournament but then lost to the eventual tournament champions.
